There was one line that hit me in the gut "We are the last sisters of Otomok" and aah, that final panel actually made me cry and is still giving me chills just thinking about it. I really liked that Leia was there for them after the destruction of their world she was perfect for that. I liked seeing Rose and Paige, and their homeworld. This was far and away the best story in the set. More on that later., but I really liked getting to see Kare and some others. The twist at the end did annoy me because I don't like Holdo. This one wasn't bad, but it was a little meh, like Finn's.

There wasn't too much to it, but it was nice. It was just really him showing that he's got compassion, which will eventually get him into trouble. They're still (mostly) good movies, but they don't link so well.įinn's story was short and sweet.

Unfortunately, the new trilogy just isn't well connected and doesn't work well as an overarching plot. I liked the essays, but I felt like I could see the writer grasping to connect the characters from TFA to TLJ. Personally, I loved The Rise of Skywalker, but the cool little essays about each character in this book don't acknowledge TROS because this came out before that. (Gave it 3/5 stars.) It was so badly disconnected from The Force Awakens, and I feel like many of the characters were very out of character across the two movies. Let me start off with this: I didn't like The Last Jedi.
