As Benoni & Kinsey's relationship grows you start to see that Kinsey needs this other side of Ben, he needs to be taken care of to not have the weight of everything on his shoulders. The hurt/comfort themes you loved from book one are present in this book but in a different way. Protecting Kinsey isn't enough, he knows Kinsey needs more and it isn't until he calls him "daddy" that everything starts locking into place for them. He loves this man that he has known his whole life but in a new light he is seeing Kinsey as the person he could spend his whole life with but there is more.
He knows he has a long way to go but having someone there who understands your needs and wants the way that Ben does is unlocking a new side to himself Kinsey didn't even know existed.īenoni has always been a caretaker but there is something about Kinsey that makes him want to take care of him in an entirely different way. Finding Benoni that day at his gym was the most unexpected thing that could have happened, and one of the best things that could have happened to him. Kinsey made mistakes but now he is sober and trying to live his life the way he was never able to do before.
